Break out the bubbly and ring in the new year in style with this mimosa station! Whether you’re hosting a big soiree or a cozy evening in with a few close friends, here are some delicious ideas for your new year’s party. Offer guests a selection of juices to create their own custom mimosa. Serve up some crowd-pleasing snacks, and follow up with some sweet treats.
Champagne or sparkling wine is a popular choice for New Years, so why not dress it up a little? We decided to take this classic cocktail and put a fun twist on it in a self-serve mimosa station. Serve it up with breakfast- perfect for midnight snacking! We opted for our favourite bubbly from Evolve Cellars and set up the bar with grapefruit juice and lemonade as well as the classic orange juice. This gave our guests a few choices allowing them to personalize their drinks and enjoy a variety throughout the night. Dress up champagne flutes with a crystal lollipop in place of a swizzle stick for garnish. You can also offer sparkling water as a bubbly non- alcoholic option! Tip: up the celebratory factor with these printable labels for a pretty finishing touch).

Drawing from the signature drink as inspiration, we created a fun backdrop with balloons and went with gold, silver, black and white, with pops of pink for colours. We added in decorative items that tied in with the colours and theme, dressing up the mimosa bar with paper gemstones and balloons, plus glitter confetti on top.
You can add extra pops of sparkle with this mimosa station without spending a lot, just get a little creative and have fun!
For food, we loved the idea of serving a breakfast/ brunch- inspired menu, especially since mimosas are a classic choice for brunch. How about chicken and waffles at midnight to serve to party guests? Yum! Pre-make other options, like a breakfast flatbread (yum again!) and pop in the oven to reheat when the time comes. Food doesn’t have to be complicated and fussy to be delicious- and let’s face it, comfort food is always a hit. We also loved the idea of serving up some sweet treats and opted for mini doughnuts, marshmallows, and macarons (let guests indulge before the new year’s resolutions kick in!). Again, the options are endless and you can pick foods that you and your guests will love.
We hope this gives you ideas for your New Years party! Here’s to a great 2018!
